Participate in Stephen Ministry training at Hayward Wesleyan Church to become equipped to provide confidential, Christ-centered care to individuals going through difficult seasons of life. Training prepares volunteers to listen well, offer emotional and spiritual support, and walk alongside others with compassion and discretion. Training consists of approximately 10 weeks, meeting for 2 hours each week.
Adults with a heart for caring for others, who are good listeners and able to maintain confidentiality. This role requires emotional maturity, reliability, and a willingness to commit to both the training process and ongoing supervision once commissioned. You do not need to have all the answers—just a desire to serve with empathy and faithfulness.
